THRIVE is an AIWA-SF April project dedicated to highlighting Armenians who are doing amazing things in their personal and professional lives to better themselves and those around them. These individuals are inspiring, dynamic, innovative and interesting. Today we feature Sona A. Tatiyants || Founder, Lynk Law, Inc.
Name: Sona A. Tatiyants || Founder, Lynk Law, Inc.
Sona A. Tatiyants is the founder of Lynk Law, Inc., a law firm dedicated to servicing families and businesses with their estate planning needs. Sona strives to serve as her clients’ trusted advisor, through building lasting relationships and working with them as their families and businesses grow. Sona and her team (including an all-female staff of 6) were recently profiled in the Daily Journal for their unique approach to estate planning.
Sona received a BA in English Literature and Women’s Studies, with a minor in Russian from University of California Santa Barbara. She received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) cum laude from Southwestern University of Law and has been a member in good standing with the State Bar of California since 2005. Sona also has a Masters degree in Law in Taxation (LL.M.) from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles with a focus on estate planning and taxation. For her professional contributions Sona has been the recipient of many awards, including being named as a Rising Star in the field of Estate Planning and Probate law by Superlawers Magazine (2013 through 2018), as well as being included in the list of Up and Coming 50 Women Lawyers by Los Angeles Magazine’s Top Attorney’s list (2015 through 2017). In April 2018, Sona was the recipient of the Heart and Excellence award from the Glendale YWCA for her long-term involvement in helping women and children facing domestic violence, many of whom are of the Armenian descent.
Knowing how important networking was to building her law practice, Sona partnered with close colleagues and co-founded The Exchange LA, “a modern networking group with a non-profit twist”. Through monthly meetings and activities, The Exchange LA provides a forum to driven professionals and accomplished leaders to establish their personal brands, collaborate with and give back to their communities, refer business opportunities, and extend their network. The Exchange has launched in May 2016 in Los Angeles and currently has 8 chapters in Glendale, Pasadena, Encino, Sherman Oaks, Woodland Hills, Century City and West Side, with additional chapters being opened in 2018. Sona is also on the executive committee board of Women to Women, a Los Angeles based networking group for professional women.
In addition to an incredibly rewarding career, Sona is most proud of being part of her local Glendale community with her husband Alex and their two young daughters, Emily and Elise.
