Saturday, December 1 Palo Alto, CA – AIWA-SF would like to extend its enormous thanks to Alex and Ani for graciously hosting a charity shopping event on Saturday, December 1. Proceeds of sales will be donated to AIWA-SF in support of our impact projects focused on promoting and enriching the social, economic and personal advancement of Armenian women worldwide.
Philanthropist and CEO of Alex and Ani, Carolyn Rafaelian, named the company after her two daughters with an intent to inspire, connect and impact women through personable, dainty designs. Her jewelry features a myriad of symbols that effectively depict countless memories or beliefs to each and every individual. One of our AIWA-SF YP members and UCLA Sophomore raved about the event commenting, “I own at least ten different gold Alex and Ani bracelets that represent memories from my church confirmation to sorority initiation. Each bracelet holds so much significance in my heart. I love seeing Alex and Ani support AIWA-SF!”
Similarly, AIWA-SF Secretary Lusine Yeghiazaryan was moved almost to tears when she entered the Palo Alto location, reminiscing on how the Rafaelian family welcomed her into their home when she first came to America at the age of 17. She spent a summer with the Rafaelian family. During our charity shopping event at Alex and Ani some images moved Lusine to share a little bit about how the Rafaelian’s inspired her and changed her life.
Collaborating with a humanitarian company that shares so many of AIWA-SF’s central values like Alex and Ani was truly a positive experience. We are immensely grateful for their support and look forward to continued partnership.
