THRIVE is an AIWA-SF April project dedicated to highlighting Armenians who are doing amazing things in their personal and professional lives to better themselves and those around them. These individuals are inspiring, dynamic, innovative and interesting. Today, we feature Asya Dallakyan.
Asya Dallakyan, Small and Medium Business Development Lead for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region at Microsoft Co. With more than 21 years of professional experience, her strong expertise in IT stems from 16 years in the sector in key managerial roles. Her background also features 3 years in education and 2 years in government/public sector.
On 1st of February 2020 she celebrates 11th anniversary of being part of #MicrosoftCorp, growing through various positions from country, segment specific till regional ones. In her current role she manages Small and Medium Business across 9 CIS countries, from Belarus to Mongolia. Her main responsibility and focus are empowering customers in digital transformation journey, through partner solutions, productivity and collaboration solutions.
Question: What is your life philosophy?
Nothing is impossible, it just takes longer.
I get energy from spending time with my family and friends as well as traveling to the breathtaking places. I love cooking and pottering masterpieces .
From a career perspective, I am learning from every person that surrounds me, shaping me as a person and as a professional. Usually I am trying to embrace the positive and protect myself from negativity. That allows me to maintain focus on the priorities of my life.
Question: What is your hope for the future?
To see Armenia as one of the leading and advanced IT service provider across the region. Inspire and help people and organizations to transform digitally.
Question: What is your favorite thing about being Armenian?
Just being an Armenian. I love spreading Armenia history, culture, country beauty worldwide.
Question: How has the Armenian culture shaped / influenced you?
One of the uniqueness of the Armenian culture is being connected to the Armenian land, family as well as Armenian society wherever you be. Cherish what has been gained and to go viral to another.
