AIWA-SF Thrive: Christina Melas-Kyriazi

THRIVE is an AIWA-SF April project dedicated to highlighting Armenians who are doing amazing things in their personal and professional lives to better themselves and those around them. These individuals are inspiring, dynamic, innovative and interesting. Today, we feature Christina Melas-Kyriazi.

Christina is a Group Product Manager at Affirm, Inc., a financial technology company Christina_headshot_2020that provides micro loans at the point of sale, and focuses on delivering simple, honest and transparent financial products. She leads enterprise product development and works with Affirm’s largest retail clients. Previously, she was a Product Lead at GoFundMe, where she led new market development and international product. Christina is also an active angel investor, and advises and invests in early stage startups. She also worked at LinkedIn and Shift, and started her career as an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs, Inc. in New York. She has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from Stanford University.

Work hard, treat others with respect, and be grateful!

Question: How has the Armenian culture shaped / influenced you?

Armenians are incredibly resilient and generous. We know the value of family, faith and our community. This has been an incredibly important cornerstone of my life, my philosophy and my wish for the future.
